# Increased transparency around GX support posture

In order to provide more clarity to the community about how the [GX support posture applies](https://docs.greatexpectations.io/docs/application_integration_support?utm_campaign=General%20Community%20Promotion&utm_source=discourse&utm_medium=post&utm_content=support%20policy) to issues and PRs, we’ve added a few new labels to GitHub. For any issues that comes in, they will fall under one of the following types of issues:

- GX-supported: related to a part of the code-base that is not tested and actively maintained with new GX Core or GX Cloud releases. Issues that do not have a community-supported or no-supported label can be assumed to be GX-supported.
- Community-supported: related to a part of the code-base that is not tested and actively maintained with new GX Core or GX Cloud releases, and it is up to the community to ensure ongoing maintenance
- Not-supported: this is something that we at GX will not be maintaining, and we will not support PRs or contributions from the community on the topic

What an issue is labeled will align with our [integration and support policy](https://docs.greatexpectations.io/docs/application_integration_support?utm_campaign=General%20Community%20Promotion&utm_source=discourse&utm_medium=post&utm_content=support%20policy), which outlines what is GX-supported, community-supported, and not supported.

# GitHub Issues Board

To streamline GitHub issue tracking and make it easy for users to get a quick glance at the various issues in flight and who is supporting them, we’ve established a new [GitHub Issues board](https://github.com/orgs/great-expectations/projects/2/views/3?pane=info) that separates community-supported issues from GX-supported issues. (You can find GX-supported issues on the [Issues by Status](https://github.com/orgs/great-expectations/projects/2/views/7) and [Reported Bugs](https://github.com/orgs/great-expectations/projects/2/views/8)tabs of the board, and community-supported issues can be found on the [community-supported](https://github.com/orgs/great-expectations/projects/2/views/1) tab.)

If there is an issue that you’re planning to tackle, simply pick an issue from the [community-support tab](https://github.com/orgs/great-expectations/projects/2/views/1)(or add a new issue) and comment on that issue that you’re starting to work on a fix. If you want to chat with other contributors, consider popping into #Contributing and introducing yourself.

Thank you for being part of the GX community!

# TL;DR

- Going forward, we’ll be labeling incoming PRs and issues as either community-supported, not-supported, or planning them as part of GX-supported work in alignment with our [integration and support policy](https://docs.greatexpectations.io/docs/application_integration_support?utm_campaign=General%20Community%20Promotion&utm_source=discourse&utm_medium=post&utm_content=support%20policy).
- [GX issues board](https://github.com/orgs/great-expectations/projects/2/views/3?pane=info) is launched!
