# How do I transition from 0.17 version to 1.2.4

Are there any configuration changes? Some features in the older version seem to be broken, and I’m finding it difficult to transition to the latest version. I use Great Expectations in my organization, and it’s frustrating that there isn’t a straightforward way to transition to the latest version.

hi @chintan0508, v1 does contain a number of breaking changes largely around our goal of simplifying the interface. Our [migration guide](https://docs.greatexpectations.io/docs/reference/learn/migration_guide/?utm_campaign=General%20Community%20Promotion&utm_source=GitHub&utm_medium=post&utm_content=migration-guide) and [documentation](https://docs.greatexpectations.io/docs/core/introduction/) should make it a little easier to transition.
